That’s why we’ve been creating products and tools developed for both sides, supporting a well balanced, comfortable shore life.
We love and appreciate nature, and we’re serious about protecting it. At Marinero, we believe in preserving resources. Our tools are designed to promote smarter, more economical use of energy and water.
In a time of rapidly rising global energy demand, every industry must adapt and continuously evolve. We’re committed to keep developing smarter ways to optimise consumptions and support a more sustainable way of living.
OUR CAPTAINS

Hi, this is Joe from Marinero. I come from a family with exceptional passion and knowledge in the auto-motor industry. As a kid and young teenager, I spent several years motocrossing, and grew up helping my grandfather and father in the family business. They used to manufacture metal exterior components for passenger and commercial vehicles, while always working on exciting side projects — renovating both youngtimers and oldtimer cars and motorbikes.
I’m a Chemical and Electrical Engineer with a broad range of experience in the world of technology. During my university years, I participated in several research and development projects. I founded my first company as a student, building sound systems and audio equipment for concerts and festivals. Later, a few friends and I started a company focused on developing solar-powered infrastructure. Through that venture, I had the chance to travel the world — and even collaborate with marina equipment manufacturers, which was the perfect entrance to the world of marinas.

Hi, this is Lili from Marinero. I come from a passionate sailing family — born as one of the ’92 Vendée Globe babies. My father, Nándor Fa, is an exceptional ocean skipper who competed in the famous Vendée Globe race three times and has circumnavigated the globe five times. From organising sailing races on Lake Balaton to participating in events like the Barcelona World Race and the Vendée Globe, I’ve spent my whole life involved in various sailing projects, travelling extensively and spending a lot of time in marinas ever since I was a kid.
I worked for over six years in my family’s business, which manufactures cutting-edge floating pontoons and delivers turnkey yacht marinas across Europe. While working in the design and production department, I came up with the idea of further developing my father’s legacy charging pedestals — giving them a modern twist to meet the challenges of today’s marinas. That was not long before I met my now-partner, József. We clicked quickly, both personally and professionally. Not long after, we decided to team up — and that’s how Marinero was born. We’ve been creating smart marina solutions together ever since.

Hi, this is Kristóf from Marinero. I joined the Marinero team almost at the beginning in 2020 as an intern, while finishing my studies at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. I’ve always placed strong emphasis on applying the most advanced and most reliable technologies when working on developments, with a special dedication to cybersecurity.
Even though my role as CTO is mostly intellectual, I’m never afraid to get my hands dirty. I’m just as comfortable with tools in my hand on the docks, as I am behind a keyboard. Sailing has caught my interest many years ago, being a highly advanced technical sport. Boats and marinas, as well as the aviation world play a major role in my heart.
THE BEGINNINGS
Although Marinero was officially founded in 2019, the real work goes back several decades, as the team’s knowhow is based on more than 30 years of history in ocean sailing, manufacturing, infrastructure development, and the marina industry itself. The two founders have combined two unique backgrounds to create Marinero.
Lili comes from a passionate sailing family. Her father Nándor Fa competed multiple times in the Vendée Globe single-handed, non-stop round-the-world sailing race. She’s participated in countless sailing projects, and has worked over six years in the family business, which manufactures cutting-edge floating pontoons for yacht marinas. In 2018 she met József, an experienced Chemical and Electrical Engineer, with whom they later co-founded Marinero. After several years working in production, Lili saw an opportunity to further develop her father’s legacy pedestals by integrating modern technologies to meet the growing demand for smart solutions, controlled energy and water consumption. With the perfect combination of skills and shared vision, Lili and József teamed up to launch Marinero Ltd.
